(DALLAS) – Loopback Analytics, a care transitions management platform provider, today announced that chief executive officer Neil Smiley has been selected by the Dallas Business Journal for the “Who’s Who in Health Care” list. Smiley received this recognition for launching Loopback Analytics, a cloud-based company that applies data analytics to identify at-risk patients and match them with interventions to improve care and manage costs.
“On behalf of the entire Loopback team, I am honored to receive this recognition,” said Neil Smiley, president and CEO of Loopback Analytics. “Our collective passion for creating meaningful contributions to the health care industry and helping improve patient care is a high priority for us all. In this challenging time in the health care industry, managing patient populations to improve the delivery of care services is an essential element to the success of clinical and financial outcomes. Loopback Analytics seeks to serve a key role in this industry change.”
A former partner with Ernst & Young consulting and former founder and CEO of Phytel, Smiley has long been regarded as a thought leader in the health care industry, having recognized a need for patient population management technology long before the evolution of the current health care climate. In early 2009, Smiley’s foresight led to a new health care technology platform, which enables health care organizations to proactively respond to new financial incentives such as readmission penalties and bundled payments.
Earlier this year, Loopback Analytics was selected by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation for demonstration projects. These projects reinforced the mission of Loopback Analytics by enabling communities, hospitals and post-acute care providers with the ability to improve care transitions and reduce preventable hospitalizations.
Additionally, Loopback Analytics was selected to provide the technology platform for Walgreens WellTransitionsSM, a coordinated care program that brings hospitals and health systems together with Walgreens to reduce readmission rates and health care costs, while improving patient health outcomes and medication adherence. In September 2013, Walgreens WellTransitionsSM received an exclusive endorsement by the American Hospital Association, which endorses products and services that best support hospitals and health care organizations.
Each year, the Dallas Business Journal selects 25 health care professionals who are impacting the health care industry in North Texas through innovative work. North Texas leaders are nominated and a panel of judges select the most outstanding nominees.
